Bolla Winery celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. We were invited for dinner at their winery during the VinItaly fair. This winery has grown to quite a size and wines that they produce come from 5 different regions in Italy (Fruili, Veneto, Lombardia, Romagna and Tuscany). They initially produced wines just from Veneto prior to their expansion.

Highlights of this winery:

one of the very few that obtained the patent from the Royal House of Savoy - so they can now use the Royal Coat of Arms in its title.

Our dinner menu for the night. What I enjoyed most was the Risotto all’Amarone…imagine making risotto with a bottle of Amarone…we certainly can’t do it here in Malaysia as a decent bottle of Amarone will be at least RM250/bottle!

Some beautiful images of their cellar which we walked through prior to dinner:

When I saw the appetiser counter, I knew this was a start of a beautiful relationship haha…

All the kinds of salami, proscuittos I ever wanted to try….

It takes considerable skill to get the meat sliced to a thickness or rather “thinness” to not make it too chewy.

The Bolla Winery has a nice area where they consistently entertain guests, and this just adds to the magic of the night…
